Around the Town of New Norfolk

For the adventurous shoot the Derwent River rapids at 70 kph in the Devil Jet Devil Jet Website

Stroll the gardens and explore the piscatorial (fishing) museum at the Salmon Ponds at Plenty.
Walk in Tasmania's oldest National Park (Mt. Field) in Tasmania and it's beautiful Russell Falls and Tall trees Walks.
Wonder at the Tall Trees in the Valley of the Giants (Styx Valley)
View Lake Pedder and the South West Wilderness Area. Perhaps abseil down the face of the Gordon Dam 130 metres tall.

Wine, Wildlife and Wilderness

There are a number of wineries within 30 minutes of New Norfolk.
See the Tasmanian Devils and other wildlife at Bonorong Wildlife Park at Brighton or Something Wild near Mt Field National Park.
The Norske Skog newsprint mill near New Norfolk conducts free tours on Friday mornings.
